Muriel Cooper & JOMO
(Joy of Missing Out)
This stop-motion animation was created during
the Design and Media Culture course at Aalto University.
Our assignment was to produce a video essay combining two randomly assigned concepts — we got JOMO (Joy of Missing Out) and Muriel Cooper.
JOMO explores the pleasure of disconnecting and enjoying the present moment, while Muriel Cooper was a visionary designer known for her experimental work at MIT and her relaxed, unconventional approach, like taking off her shoes during interviews.
That spirit of comfort and rebellion became part of our narrative.
